Beginning tour of Helen Keller's birth house. Was able to get the first part of the tour before the battery died.

In 1954, through the efforts of the Helen Keller Property Board of Tuscumbia and the State of Alabama, Ivy Green was made a permanent shrine and placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Ivy Green is located two miles off Hwys. 72 and 43 in Colbert County, Tuscumbia, Alabama.

Last tour starts at 3:45 p.m. daily

Very interesting video, I find Helen's story fascinating. The gentleman was Alexander Graham BELL. He was SCOTTISH and a "Citizen" of Canada and USA

This is very interesting to hear about Helen Keller, and see her house 🏡 in Tuscumbia, Alabama!I’ve heard her for year’s.And, she had an I.q.of 160?Wow!That’s even smarter then me!I don’t think I’d want people to know about my I.q.?My older sister probably has an I.q.of 160?I know that she is smart!And, so are in kid’s!They are also very smart!And, I’ve read about Helen Keller threw a book 📕 called;The story of my life.I read it when I was married.

Helen Keller was deaf and blind, a dreadful affliction I grant you BUT her teacher *ANNE SULLIVAN* is the real heroine - she gave a wonderful life to Helen, but Helen didn't do anything except learn.
All praise to *ANNE SULLIVAN*

Wow that was really interesting. I learned a lot of things I did not know. I mean I know who she was and about here writing books despite her disabilities, but did not know she was that accomplished.
