It's primarily viruses that integrate DNA in the genome of the host (the gene for the placenta is from viral origin), the agrobacterium tumefaciens (bacteria) can insert it in to a tobacco plant in the form of plasmids.

First time i used parasite i achieved 100% infection without getting detected at all, and then got wiped out immediately after trying to increase lethality.

I would of definitely worded it as doing something along the lines of fusing with the host's organs. Something like what angular fish do for mating. The alternative is definitely something some of the other comments said and instead it disguises itself to be a natural part of the blood stream, making it less likely to fight it.

Some parasitic worms do have the ability to suppress the immune response, and there is a prominent theory that this might be the reason why allergies and autoimmune diseases are more common in developed countries (less parasites to regulate our immune system).

The mechanics are realistic, but the wording IS silly.
