The what I usually see it done is by removing the excess husk by tapering it to a diamond-esc shape to allow an easy swipe of the knife to remove to top of the coconut and keep every drop of water in and to make it presentable as a drink

You always want to choose this color coconut to get most coconut juice. I went to India last month and had coconut almost everyday. They cost like 90 cents when converted 😂😂 anyways now I learned how to choose a perfect coconut.
