this video is on ppf account and in this video we have discussed the features, benefits and interest rate of ppf account. ppf account that is public provident fund account is a government scheme that offers 7.1% rate of interest in year 2022. ppf account is a long 15 year investment scheme and also ppf account has a tax benefits under (EEE) that is exempt exempt exempt, here under ppf account anyone can avail the max tax benefit of rs 1.5 lakh under section 80 c of income tax act. on ppf account maturity you can withdraw your full amount that is principal and interest amount or you can also extend the ppf account further in the multiple of 5 years.

While investing, we only see how much we get after investing but totally ignore that what would be that matured amount would have value at that point of time (inflation) so 1Lac today will be (assumption) 25k after 15 years due to life style changes

Never came down from 7%. RBI inflation target is 4 to 6%. Central govt never reduced intrest rate less than inflation. So 7% is minimum and it's due to corona impact.
