The Wave Plus is my favorite tool. I use it every day for something. Love it.

this is one of the most well engineered tools i've ever seen . the
tolerances/fit is perfect
the Leatherman wave makes the Swiss army knife look and feel like a child's toy .

Love my Leatherman’s, but please, please, change the policy that tools have to be mailed back for repair, and refusing to even sell the parts to repair our tools.

The PST was the tool we all realized we needed. The Wave is the tool we all wanted. I’ve had mine since the early 2000s; it’s a great tool.

I've been a skeletool fan for 10 plus years, and just recently purchased a Curl. Also, i'm a big fan of the T4. Super excited for any new tools in 2023, ... especially if they have upgraded knife steel.

I did not know about that lanyard. Never noticed it.

Awesome, it was only through this video that I discovered that my 18 year old Leatherman Wave has a hidden eyelet for attachment. :)

I got one of these today ! It’s nice guys 👍. It’s like a spyderco knife quality but a multi tool and prettier 😊. Thanks for making g a cool edc tool that’s not a piece of crap . I also have a real small ps something Winston cigarettes sent me . Very cool little guy, very useful for keeping under my nails clean and removing splinters . I like how the tips of the pliers stay aligned and the overall build. I’m into commercial maintence solutions so I get into everything and the this new wave will be useful .

I just found an leatherman hidden in my room and carried it and did research and found out it was an original from the 1980’s so early in fact it doesn’t have the numbers to indicate when it was made so I want to put it away and get this as a replacement

What about a next gen multitool slender and heavy especially dedicated and designed for plumbers and craftsmen.
A tool mainly based on a more refined Swedish pipe wrench such as the tiny Bahco 140 also Snap-on PWZ0... a stuff with that general shape 90° beak, open 33mm able to tighten a 3/4" pipe in a compact tool long 210mm thick 15, 7mm 375gr. and packed with some other useful and handy features:

a retractable disposable blades receiver like for common OLFA 18mm ML,
a folding pencil deburring bit,
a real mild file, able to actually resharpen a chainsaw (mid round shape very good quality)
an attachment for spare reciprocating saw blades, for big hacksaw e.g. DeWalt demolition 5" to occasionally cut drywalls, insulation, metal, wood...
a V slot for nail pulling milled directly in the superior rounded jaw; and moreover a very useful locking mechanism like Leatherman Crunch or Kerashaw A100 to be also used as a locking retaining vice grip while tightening something with other tools.
a position with an integrated wire cutter
and a regular ¼ magnetic bit driver at the threaded brace end.
About jaws: Since plumbers have serious bad habit of red-hot fittings managed with the pliers provide a self-hardening steel to protect jaw teeth hardness or removable spare jaws like on common American pipe wrenches.
What about innovating tools design instead innovating tools style?

About Leatherman Wave/Charge/Surge I don't use em. I seriously evaluated them before purchase. I have a Victorinox SwisstoolXplus with a 4" adjustable wrench in the sheath and ¼ hex nut drivers set in my arsenal for the car fixing emergencies.
About Leatehrman Wave it started as beater tool.
I definitely prefer its clone Swisstech 17 in1 ; 18 in 1 or Ozark trail Multiforce premium as a better option for tech specs and price since it started as a beater everyday work horse.
In general I don't think a bits driver mounted on a bulky multitool going nowhere is a good option, especially if it requires proprietary bits. I prefer separated T handle ratchets such as VIM Tools RFB400K and a coffer for other fixing consubables bic lighter, zip ties, glue, shrinking tubes, duct tape...
Here's why I will eventually choose a Hangzhou Great Star Industrial Co., LTD Multitool instead an american one.
1 regular standard ¼ bit attachment this means more versatility. and easiness in replacing part.
2 inverted positioning of tools so if pliers slip the pince will not bite the palm!
3 Carbide inserts in pliers head are kind of silly not even regular pliers have that.
4 too much edges at manipulating surfaces / handles. A more flushyness general shape to manipulate is always better than stingy corners here and there.

The only Leatherman I will buy this days is the Free P4 but ruler, can opener, carbides, convex sharphening short file are all jokes.
The general one hand idea is very good but tools functionality damn is something embarrassing.

Just received a new Wave plus. Final fitment needs to be a bit better. Otherwise love all the Leatherman tools I've had.

Leatherman Wave Plus'ın Pivot Vidalarının Kocaman Ve Tam Düz Başlı Olması Çok Çirkin Ve Sevimsiz Duruyor, Surge Plus Modelinde Tıpkı Surge'deki Gibi Acilen Oval Başlı Pivot Vidalarının Kullanımına Geçmek Zorundasınız.Leatherman Firmasının Bu Durumu Farkedemeyecek Kadar Kör Gözlü Olması Hayret Vericidir.

Great tool but difficult for one handed operation for left handed people.

I broke the tip of the pliers off and saw that it was very thinly plated with steel and filled with cheap Chinese white metal. For the price I was not impressed.

I had one it was ok I received it as a gift and I did use it it came in very handy I must say but I let someone use it it only took them a few minutes to break things on it so I thought well I'll send it in because the warranty and then I got some kind of bag back with no tool no body knows where it went just lost so I looked up how much those cost at the time and was amazed that someone spent the money to buy me a gift amen right but as mad as I was and the 80ish dollar tool Lost I saw other people with tools like that and saw them in action i can honestly say that I will never buy a Leatherman i have a few that i will test the longevity of Leatherman and they will surpass them and I am just as hard on them I've seen friends that have a Leatherman and fail mine that i bought is still going strong nothing broken don't get ripped off by over spending on these things i promise you not worth the hype

STAY AWAY. They ripped me off on an Arc for $260 and the engraving is horrible. They then offered me a $12 discount. Horrible service
