God this guy is providing priceless information, and out for free for all to learn. We should all be so grateful man. The difference between him and others is that hes willing to TEACH us what most pro painters would call "secrets of the trade". Instead of keeping and benefiting to himself hes willingly sharing it, and not only a true pro at his profession but a talented teacher.

Great tips! I'm just a hobbiest and only done a half dozen full repaints & a few repairs. For the longest time I thought first "it has to be the gun - need a better one". Then it was "always use the recommended settings". Then it was "always use 50% overlap" (way too wide!). So all along there was a lot of cut & buff to fix poor results. Finally figured it out - realizing the obvious "look at the results and make whatever adjustments necessary to make it look right - duh! (including rate of travel)" And atomization is key. The cloud of overspray threw me off until I saw how much better the finish came out. Thanks so much for putting it all in easily understandable words and giving real examples! Wish your videos were available years ago when I started!

I love the narration of procedures, a lot more useful than some dude perfectly spraying glass without any instruction. Thanks

Brian I literally watched this video in between base and clear on my first paint project in 2 years. I followed your advice and laid down the slickest clear I have ever sprayed. Your tips have helped a ton thanks for your honest contributions to the youtube community. I am looking forward to re-painting my truck and believe I will get stellar results. Thanks

Mr. Brian
I was a old painter in my Youth with my father pointing his finger sir.
Everything has changed BIG time sir. Your information will bring a old timer back into the game.
I love to work on old stuff like my old 57 Chevy 2 door hard top.
I watch so many of your videos on my tv. Great stuff....
Keep up the great teaching sir.
Your new friend Gary Huneycutt.

Wish I had this training working in aviation. This guy taught me more than my old employer and that is really upsetting.

I’ve been a refinisher for 25 years, first ten years was in a paint booth.
I turn my fluid needle in all the way and turn it out from there, was taught this years ago from DuPont and PPG course… all kinds of ways work, consistency is key.
Nice video.

As a guy who painted for 36 years I would recommend NEVER using those silly on-gun regulators. Just open the on gun regulator all the way, pull the trigger and use the wall regulator to set pressure at gun. Then, take the regulator off. Using the wall as a baseline. They restrict flow too much and via the venturi effect can cause condensation in your air supply especially for at home guys.

Thank you. I always used reducer to help get smooth finish even tho the manufacturer didnt suggest it. But after changing my settings i did a job just now and i love it so much better without reducer and your settings. Thanks for your information

Great video, I've been using Tamco products for about 5 years now and cant see myself ever using anything else. Over the past 30+ years I've seen and used just about everything. No other paint company has the customer service that Tammy Miller gives us. Again great video and tips.
