Please watch: "How to find and cook delicious chantarelles with ARNE & CARLOS - Autumn in Norway"
In this week's episode, we show you Annemor Sundbø's technique to tighten loose stitches after you've knitted them, in order to achieve perfect tension and avoid the "dominant colour"- issue that we do not aspire to have in Norwegian knitting.

Hi guys—-I’m really missing your “SIt and Knit for a bit”. I’m experiencing a real craving for more of Arne and Carlos. Just the 10 minutes or so on Sunday leave me wanting more, and more. Will you be doing more in the future? I sure hope so. Thanks for all you share.

When I first started with colorwork, everyone kept saying "Keep your floats loose!" so I overcompensated and it always looked sloppy. Eventually, I started to tighten up my tension and just try to make the stitches even, and I've improved a lot. Never as good as Arne, but I have ambitions! 😄

I love seeing you guys 'all dressed up' in your beautiful Setesdal sweaters. They are so intriguing with the embroidered trim. It's amazing to see such quality work being done by hand these days. Because of all your tutorials, I too knit with 2 colors the way you both do. None of my friends or family knit, so you are the only people I've ever learned techniques from, especially with stranded color work. Thank you!

Thank you for this explanation, I just finished a hat and cowl that I got from your website and I had this problem. Despite my many mistakes, I finished the project and I am delighted with the result.
Also, thank you for being so gracious, funny and corteous, this world needs more people like you. I have subscribed, signed for newsletter and I am following you on social media. I am here to stay. 😊

Thank you Arne and Carlos! It is always a pleasure to learn from you 💞 I also miss #sitandknitforabit ! You were my companions in these strange lonely times, so comforting and I've learnt so much! It was so interesting to hear from you about Norway, hiking, your beautiful dogs, UFOs, ... everything!!! Maybe you can gift us with a monthly podcast? 🙏 🥰

When I discovered the "Norwegian way" to knit colorwork, it totally changed my life! I'm a "thrower" and so when I had to do two colors I always held my left finger up in the air. But once you guys taught me to hold it down, things got so much easier! It inspired me to knit a colorwork vest kit that I'd been saving for years. My stitches were so much more even and balanced between the two colors. And no finger pain from waving that finger in the air! Thanks for sharing these tips -- they may seem small but can make such a difference.

Those beautiful Setesdal sweaters.

One of my earliest pleasures was colorwork. I’ve always made up my own patterns; have lately been surprised at how much people look for proper, published patterns. I never thought it was that difficult.
