The POLICY is with the cops.
A ‘cover our ass’ policy. But I’d bet they will still try claiming ‘exigent circumstances’ if the cops WANT to enter a home.

Much like many police departments have a POLICY (albeit typically UNWRITTEN) that ‘a citizen must ID when contacted by police for police records’. That’s an unconstitutional policy, which is why it’s not a written policy, that many departments try to push.

So these cops refusing to investigate B&Es, are failing to perform their duty, all because they’ve been sued. Except they are not comparing apples to apples.

This act as police is like a kid was was told they had to clean up after they play with their toys, then turn around and tell their guidance counselor that "their parents told them they where not allowed to play or have fun or they would beat them." The problem the people and courts had was the murder not investigating a crime. I feel Walmart workers are given more responsibility, less lenience, more work, less pay, work with the same people, and have just about as dangerous a job (lots of shootings happen in Walmart) than police and they still are able to deescalate and not kill people.
