Thank you very much for your video.
This video is brilliant because it covered almost common commercial appliances.
As a learner, I really wish you can make videos which showing which option you pick on Seaward Apollo screen because on this video you just say choose appropriate option which is not quite useful for your teaching video!
Once again, many thanks for your sharing & I wished you well!

a microwave emissions test... I learnt something today... I have never seen anybody measure this before... It didnt even occur to me that this might be something that can fail. Brilliant video. Top class. Thanks

On the toaster you did to do it on the correct way. You did not push the handle down to engage the internal switch. So you tested it open. Well done.

Great video, would be great to see what tests you select on screen, I do this about twice a year and totally forget what I did when it comes around again 👍

On the coffee machine the fail is from the spur socket screw being in a plastic box the screw is not attached to a earth. You need to know you have a good earth such as using a socket tester the probe terminals.

First thing I would have done before testing is to inspect the cable and plug, fuse etc before plugging it straight into the tester

Please be assured im not questioning your tests but having just started PAT testing i think its interesting to see other professionals (similar to yourself) doing things differently. A couple of other videos show the monitor as one test (cable and lead combined) and similarly the kettle being tested as one unit also. It seems there are areas of testing that seem to be grey! Great video thank you for posting.

Nice work. I think I would have learned more about the devices for PAT testing if there was a clop on the menu of the PAt test tools

That's really interesting - I always thought PAT meant Portable - so a fixed appliance such as a cooker or a coffee machine was not part of that testing regime.

On testing the electrical kettle at the start of this video you didn’t advise to make sure the on button is depressed, just a minor observation. You will of course have a fail or warning to make a connection. Belt and braces. Thks

Also on IEC leads check the amp rating of the lead such as 10Amp and check the fuse is equal to or less then.

When the microwave failed its test, you should have cut the mains cable off. Nothing stopping anyone using it and they will ignore stickers that tell them.not to.

8:01 I think you should switch kettle on in order to do the test

You should check the earth probe lead to the socket on the PAT tester before starting.

On the coffee maker test it could be the screw of the spur is not giving the earth. Thks

The 110v extension lead was a fail as the flap was missing from the female side, meaning it has no IP rating and would be not fit for purpose!

Sorry to say but I'm not a fan of you demonstrating poor safe isolation procedures with the use of a volt stick which is not a approved voltage indicator nor did you have any way to check and prove that circuit was dead before you stuck your non insulated screw drives into the terminals... Safety comes first!! I think you demonstrate some other great techniques but you let yourself and others down by not following safe isolation procedures and using the appropriate tools. No one wants to see someone else get injured because they followed your video and use of a volt stick that picks up static voltage and doesn't give a true reading for a dead circuit. Please be careful in the future!
