Most providers allow you to drink it at home if you're within a half hour of the facility and can come in on time for a blood draw. 5 minutes is also a long time for a drink so small so chugging is completely unnecessary. Sipped mine while conversing with my husband with 2 minutes to spare. My suggestion is opt for the clear version. It's not a big deal of a test just as this video shows.

I had to so this test twice becuz I failed the one hour glucose. The three hour is torture becuz they draw your blood 4 times. Thanks to PCOS I failed both tests! I did it first and second trimesters.
