Worlds Best Surfers score EPIC Trestles

Best surfers in the world surfing epic Lowers.
The timing for this swell worked perfect. The swell peaked a day before the WSL event window started, allowing us to not only watch the top 10 surfers in epic Lowers conditions but also surfers like Mick Fanning, Lakey Peterson and many other crazy talented surfers. Congrats to Felipe Toledo and Stephanie Gilmore for winning the Rip Curl WSL finals which took place the next day.

You brighten my 65-1/2 yr. Old Days with reminders of how much I loved Trestles back in the Seventy’s. God Bless you for all the places you travel and remind us Orange County, Calif. Surfers that have Surfed from Ensenada Mexico to Santa Barbara, Calif. of all the great Memories we have of some special Locations with Epic Days.
I’ve left California now and my 10-yrs of Surfing Days for living in a Beautiful Valley on a Hill with 50 acres of land with 10 acres of Forestry surrounding us. Raised 5-Children and Homeschooled all of them .
I’ve missed the Waves but it’s not worth living there anymore with all the Liberal Democrat’s that have 100% Ruined California. Shame on those that have Voted these Low Morality Politicians in Office.
Nevertheless Brad Thank You for covering all the Surf Breaks you do. Your an Amazing Dude.

5:45 mikey is always on another level, so smooth but at the same time so aggressive. personally my fav style, riding the wave on a twin fin is the best in this conditions :)

Great footage and optimal timing Brad, a dedicated Trestles Rat from '73-'89, I can honestly say Lowers and the entire stretch of coast there can get WAAAYYY better. This is B+, very good, but with a combo SSW and West swell of 6-8 foot, coupled with a moderate offshore flow, I've ridden days when it resembles Jeffery's Bay or Margaret River. It looks like it might be back to that type of conditions in the next couple of years, hopefully for the locals. When Trestles REALLY shines, it is World Class. Your footage of Newport recently harkens back to those days too, so good luck to everyone still surfing there, may the Surf Gods smile on you all.
