Mistborn is so cohesive, a reason/explanation for everything that is seen and experienced. I do not think I have read a book series that explains everything so creatively by the end of the series. Can you name one better, or even just as good? I mean everything, from even the ash is explained so brilliantly in this series.

A well done Mistborn adaptation has the potential to be as big as something like the Hunger Games IMO. It has everything to be gripping and fascinating.

Gentlemen Bastards & lightbringer. Good good, I'll check out some of the others you recommended then.
I'll throw the "Cradle" series into the ring too, starting with "Unsouled".

Mistborn should deffo be a fucking a video game. My goodness the vibe would be like the first time I played the Assassin's Creed.

Love to see Theft of Swords getting more recognition. MJS is a genius with is multiple series incasing the world of Elan.

Seeing the thumbnail, I got a flashback of Jacob's, "If you like stormlight than you'll love..." And I shivered.

Just wait until you get to the last book in the original Ryria Revelations series. Oh man. Cannot hype it enough.

Thanks for the recommend with Kings of the Wyld. Sounds like something for me.

Try The Shadow Of What Whas Lost by James Islington.

I need to check out Lightbringer soon. There is so much praise about the magic system.

I'm so happy you're loving Theft of Swords(Ryiria Revelations)! I agree, more people need to read that series! I also recently read the prequel series Legends of the First Empire and I like it better! Which is huge because I LOVE Royce and Hadrian!

the music that starts playing when you recommend the kings of the wyld fits so well

Hopefully you’ll finish the Riyira series soon cause every book is better than the last and the ending of the series is at least as strong as mistborn‘s!

Loved the video and all the visuals! I think the Riyria Revelations is an awesome rec for fans of Mistborn both in terms of writing and storytelling style. Lightbringer on the other hand just has the more superficial similarities with the hard magic system, but Weeks's overall plotting and storytelling skill through the whole series will sorely disappoint most Mistborn fans. I loved book 1 and thought it was comparable to Mistborn, so maybe just the Black Prism is indeed a good rec, but few people will likely stop there. The way books 4 and 5 meander and end things is the opposite of Sando's tight storytelling with Sando's impactful convergence of a finale. Such a shame since it was such wasted potential.

I need to try out Powdermage, and other series that often get compared that I want to read are the Licanius Trilogy and Foundryside.

As far as writing and storytelling, I’d recommend the Licanius trilogy too. It actually says in the back of my copy that Islington was inspired to become a fantasy author after reading Mistborn

I collect different plays on Brandon Sanderson’s name like Hoid collects magic systems, and I have to admit that this is the first time I’ve heard “Sando Brando”. Simple yet elegant.
