Everybody picks on this movie now but as kids back in 1986 we all loved it.

My Class of 1990 High School Senior Yearbook Picture Bio has Howard the Duck listed as my favorite movie. I *LOVED* this movie as a teenager. Over the decades I've seen this movie a million times on TV, VHS, and DVD, and they were always disappointing representations. I'm now 50 and bought the 4K this last summer (I didn't know it had been released until then).

Seeing it in 4K really took me back to my 80s theatrical experience. It looks so beautiful! I will be the first to admit the story is a goofy cheese-fest barely suitable for its time and most of the Overlord greenscreen/stop-motion don't quite hold-up, but the Howard costume looks fantastic, as do the various lightning/spark FX (especially in HDR!), and Lea Thompson in 80s glam is sexy AF. Watching Tim Robbins and Jeffery Jones being hilarious is a fun ride, too. Two thumbs up and 10 stars for this nostalgic wonder!

My only regret is I bought the basic slipcase edition, not knowing such a gorgeously designed SteelBook edition exists(ed). May have to hunt that down. Thanks for the treasure hunt!

I always loved this goofy movie. I was the right age when it came out . I was 10. People didn't know what to make of it back in 86. But my buddy and I loved it at the time and has since stayed as a guilty pleasure. If Robin Williams had voiced howard we would likely be calling it a comedy classic.

I got super Lucky . I bought last steelbook at my best buy. Physical Media is Live and well. And i loved Howard the duck. It's a fun, popcorn movie .

I'll admit, I got suckered in by the cool-looking embossed steelbook for this one lol... I love 80's cheese though, so I think I'll enjoy the movie well enough. Were that many people really asking for this movie is 4K though...?
