I recently purchased this as a part of an ongoing joke with friends, and I was legitimately SHOCKED how incredible the 4K transfer was.

Somebody at Universal really liked this movie AND made sure it was done correctly. Thank you to whomever it was!

As a side note, I love this movie. Nostalgia...yes, but also it's just a fun movie to watch. It's like a rollercoaster. The only point, to have a good time during the ride. Don't know why people don't get that. Put this on for your kid and ask them what they thought of it.

Howard the Duck on 4k will go great right next to Lawrence of Arabia and Citizen Kane in my collection.

Howard the Duck has always been a favorite of mine since I was 6 in 1987 when I first watched it and at 40 still get the same enjoyment out of it. I purchased the 4K too and it looks stellar, crisp and clean.

I haven't seen Howard The Duck since it was first released on VHS in the late 80s. Never bought it on DVD or Blu-ray, so this is a good opportunity to have it in my collection finally.
My friends and I thought it was great, at the time, and of course it also starred Lea Thompson, which to me is a good enough reason to watch it in 4K.

Universal still leading the way in 4k. I grabbed this for $10 at a resell shop. I was also surprised how good it looked. Wish some of these other studios would give this much attention to much better movies

This is by far now one of my FAVORITE 4k Marvel movies of ALL TIME! I couldnt believe that I had never seen this movie until now and why are there no sequels to this movie?! Not that it needs any because this movie is so dang good from beginning to end!

I love this film! This is a definite pick up for me when it comes on sale… Man, these clips look really crisp on 4K! I would love to see “The Frighteners” in 4K!

You sold me on wanting to purchase Howard the Duck 4K release except I don’t have the kind of TV that would work with a 4K Player.I remember watching Howard the Duck new on HBO & liked it enough to own on VHS & DVD.I am meaning to buy the Blu Ray except based on your review it’s not that great.
Whenever I get a 4K TV & Player Howard the Duck will be first on my list.

I didn’t not grow up with this movie. In fact, I bought it as a joke with my brother and was pleasantly surprised. I won’t say it’s a good movie, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. And the 4k looks fantastic. One of the best I own. Then again, I don’t own many.
