Alisson is really smart and has great command of English. Seems surreal having a world-class keeper after so many years not having one at Liverpool. This interview had some good questions, really enjoyed it!

He’s speaking with so much passion about God.

When he scored against West Brom, it was after the coronavirus, in a small pub in Bucharest there were a few people watching the match. I was with my wife. She was like ‘what’s Alisson doing? What if he scores’. I was in my mind like ‘silly girl’. And he scored. Everybody from the pub was hugging everybody. My palms were hurting from clapping and high-fiving. One of my core memories about Liverpool.

That part at 8:51 is actually so amazing, huge props to Alisson there. I don't think I've ever heard a goalkeeper talk about how they admire the composure in another keeper and acknowledge their own lack of it when they have the ball at their feet, or anything like that. And to say that about your direct national rival, to the BBC, shows a real maturity and honesty in him. Already loved him but this is great.

That goal v west from was his farther, it was raining as he ran up to the box, the clouds broke, the sun lit up the penalty area, and his farther said, "go on son get your head on that one". Love this man, he has a true connection with God.
