This $12 Million Dollar Waterfall Mansion Has Secret Underwater Tunnels

Based within the state of Kansas is the city of Lake Quivira. There, is the location of a unique property that caught the eye of the world’s media when it went on the market a couple of years ago. Named The Spirit of Avalon, this property features a massive grotto with a cascading waterfall. Oh, and there’s also a collection of scuba diving tunnels that bore underneath the mansion! At the time it went up for sale, the house was the most expensive home in Kansas! Today, we’re going to take a deep dive (pun intended) into this amazing abode. We’ll see all the inside and outside features. As well as see who created it and their connection to current U.S president, Joe Biden.

Now for the spoiler paragraph. If you like surprises, we suggest you stop reading and watch the video multiple times. We kick-off by looking at where the house is and how its design is based on the legend of King Arthur and other fables. We then examine the creators of the house and the millions of dollars they spent on building the home of their dreams. We’ll jump in and take a good look at the scuba diving tunnels and the grotto. The latter of which holds a number of water-based amenities! We’ll then explore the other outside features. Such as the winding pathways and being immersed in nature. Whilst inside the house are also things for the homeowner to do. Such as the recreation and media room, the wine cellar, the piano room, and more! Finally, we’ll briefly look at another expensive quirky property owned by baseball legend, Derek Jeter.

I live very close to this property. I drive by it on my way to pick up groceries every week. Unlike most “private” homes around here… you CANNOT see this thing at ALL from the top of the driveway. You can see a maintenance shed, a garden, and the beautiful winding driveway and that’s it.

Those carved dragon doors are literally breathtaking I'm stunned.those are the most beautiful most detailed complex design in a wooden door.that is hands down the best door I've ever seen I'd love to have that as my front doors to my house.unbelievable

It's like a mini-Disneyland Sleeping Beauty Castle with a gigantic grotto scuba diving pool to die for, no pun intended. When Dennis Langley, the owner didn't survive a fall pruning trees on his estate his widow, Lyn put it on auction. Built for an estimated 30 million dollars it sold in auction for an astonishing loss at 2.5 million dollars. These kinds of homes aren't the type that people rush out to buy. Whoever bought it is going to make up the difference in cost with the upkeep which I'd guess might run a million a year.

I don’t know. It’s lovely, but even if I were rich enough to buy the place, which I’m not, I couldn’t afford the staff and maintenance . The cost of keeping the the pool, grotto, water fall and diving tunnels clean would be an ongoing money pit.

A lot of great content here but where do you pull out these cost figures from?? “Experts say...” that this scuba grotto with massive waterfall, hi-tech pumping system etc can cost upwards of $50, 000. I don’t know who your talking to, but where I’m from in New York, $50, 000 will buy you a nice “ordinary”-ish pool with a modest patio area. Granted cost in Kansas will be cheaper, but no way that thing is just $50k.

Cant believe I’m just seeing this video!!! This is literally 10 mins away from me in Shawnee, Kansas.
The massive home is located in the outskirts of a private lake called Lake Quavira.

After the man passed in 2017 there was many talks of how the house would sell and I still don’t know how much it sold for or what the use for it is now.
