Assigning a Password Policy to Users

As the smallest unit in a domain, assigning policies by user is a precise method to assign a specifically crafted user policy. To assign a password policy to a user, start at the Avatier Identity Management Suite, or AIMS product tree. Expand the Password Bouncer module. Select a password policy. Under “Assign Policy To”, select User. Select the domain from the drop-down list. Then, search for or type the user name. Select Add. Assigned Users are listed for view. To remove users, select their Delete check box followed by Save. Policies directly assigned to users override all other assigned policies. Group, organizational unit, and domain password policies do not apply to users who have a policy assigned to their accounts.
