"What should we name our computer?"
"Let's name it after a letter."
"K."

So i can run battlefield 4 on my brain at 1080p at 60 FPS?

We totally need a round 2! For all the quantum computers and bio-storages/Artifical N-Networks and graphene stuff...yeah!

Wait, human brains actually does costs a lot.

Well today's most effective means of growing brains are 'feeding' and 'educating' humans.

Reaching the optimum condition for brain and growing to it's full capacity takes years.

Brain Specs:
# of Cores: 100, 000, 000, 000
# of Threads: 0
Base Frequency: 0 Ghz
Cache: 0 MB
Lithography: 100, 000 nm
Max TDP: 20 Watts

Despite the amazing power efficiency and core count, the Human brand Brain performs very poorly in all tasks, being destroyed by 1971's Intel 4004. I do not recommend it for gamers. Get an i5.

This was, by far, one of my favorite videos from this group.
Funny and informative. Just awesome, as usual.

But can the supercomputer run Fallout 4 at 60 FPS?

1:56 no! the human brain costs two humans just to build, and to program right it takes at least 14 years!!

this is from wikipedia:In the US, the following estimates have been applied to the value of life. The estimates are either for one year of additional life or for the statistical value of a single life.[citation needed]
$50, 000 per year of quality life (international standard most private and government-run health insurance plans worldwide use to determine whether to cover a new medical procedure)
$129, 000 per year of quality life (based on analysis of kidney dialysis procedures by Stefanos Zenios and colleagues at Stanford Graduate School of Business)
$6.9 million (Environmental Protection Agency)
$7.9 million (Food and Drug Administration)
$6 million (Transportation Department)
$7 million (median value for prime aged workers)
The income elasticity of the value of statistical life has been estimated at 0.5 to 0.6. Developing markets have smaller statistical value of life. The statistical value of life also decreases with age.
from google: There are generally five years of primary (elementary) school, during which students customarily advance together from one grade to the next as a single cohort or "class", three years of middle school, which may have cohorts, and four years of high school. me: plus a minimum of 2 years for collage.

1:44 water: If the average person drinks their 'required' 64 ounces of water per day and lives to age 80, they will consume 14600 gallons of water.

food:The amount of food which somebody eats in a life time will depend upon many things, such as people of which country we are talking about, and income of those people. But taking the case of US, we can roughly find out how many tons of food an average person eats in a life time. An average American eats a ton of food a year. If he lives till the age of 80, that means he would eat 80 tons in a lifetime.

now on to time.

human: Worldwide, the average life expectancy at birth was 71.0 years (68.5 years for males and 73.5 years for females) over the period 2010–2013 according to United Nations World Population Prospects 2012 Revision, and 70.7 years (68.2 years for males and 73.2 years for females) for 2009 according to The World Factbook. <from google

computer: Technically, computer components can run forever, if kept on and at full power. <yahoo answers

so i think humans are harder to run then computers and these are regular computers have fun with your biased video. don't worry though you have the right to be biased because you are one of the sides of the competition. what we need is a cyborg reff, half human, half computer, so he's not biased towards either side! until then let's not revisit this.

The Human Brain is a supercomputer because it created the computers we use today

Can my brain render a Pixar movie in real time?

Tell me if I am wrong, but I am assuming the super computer is really made up of many cores (processors) which are performing a task. But there can also be many tasks running at once. Similarly the brain has different areas which handle different types of information such as hearing, sight, touch, involuntary etc. Who is to say that our conscious isn't just a program that runs on our brain?

Technically the supercomputer runs multiple computations in parallel similarly to the brain since it has a large number of processors.

I would ask why he has that mask....but I dont want to know.

Sounds a lot like a quantum computer vs a desktop computer -
the quantum computer make more computations, but wouldn't play YouTube videos any better.
(The technology we currently have is at the limits of what our eyes and brain can process.)

When it comes to storing data, human brain is the most unreliable. We forget things all the time.

The simplest way to to compare the difference between a brain and a computer is:
BRAIN= PATTERN RECOGNITION
COMPUTER=COMPUTATION.
Human brains suck at  computation, hence why we build super computers, while computers suck at pattern recognition which is why its so hard to build Strong A.I./robots that think.

The K computer's name is actually from the Chinese/Japanese number for 10 quadrillion (京), the amount of calculations the computer does in a second. So, Japan didn't choose a letter for that computer but I do believe that one day, we will make something epic and name it after a letter, like how we always butcher English to the furthest possible extent.

1:36 best statement ever xD
1:43 its not roughly 10 000 watts .. its roughly 10 000 000 watts
