The brain uses a self constructing net, where it builds capabilities the more you use it the way you use it. And then if you shift process it will rebuild, however there is a limit of resources AND a limit of rebuilds possible per resource. Which is why it's important to eat certain foods that maximizes either value.

We are still on exponential growth- just changing the underlying framework from classical to quantum computing. once quantum computing is available for everyday use - it will be beyond exponential growth .. will be a 5th industrial revolution .

There's a mathematical error in the video. The simplified human brain is not 10^19 flops, but Teraflops, therefore it's a billion times (10^12) larger on a long scale, trillion on the short scale. But that's an outdated number anyway as electrophysiologically realistic brain (with Hodgkin-Huxley neurons) processing rate is estimated at 10^28 flops (or 32 × 10^28 bits/second) according to Tuszynski, 2006.
