I worked for the VA for 34 years and seeing wounded vets only reinforced what an honor it was to serve our country and them. They were great people who never expected anything..

Being a disabled vet, this is really upsetting. We need to honor all vets. This is not Hollywood but real life. His day is coming.🤔

I have never served in the armed forces. I am not even an American citizen. But, whether or not you agree with your country sending soldiers to fight in a conflict, those who serve in these wars should always be respected. For trump, someone who has never risked his own safety, to denigrate someone who has literally given his body and soul for his country is beyond reprehensible.

"I heard they had headaches".
That's what he's willing to say publicly.
You can only imagine what he really thinks.

Sickening and still there are people who are with this heartless man. God bless that military man in the chair.

There are many reasons I find Trump repulsive, but his ideas about the armed services in general is the main one. The way he skirted the draft, calling dead Marines losers and suckers, telling his son he would disown him if he joined the army, insulting a POW because he was captured. As a veteran I find all that revolting.

My husband was lucky: completed his military service (Vietnam) without a scratch. Any treatments he needs, readily available at the local VA Hospital here in New Orleans. I often sit in the waiting room with him and watch vets in wheelchairs, with prosthetic limbs, walking with canes, guide dogs, or using mobility carts. The very idea of them being excluded from any event like that.... is disgusting. Unlike "Mr. Bone Spurs"... these men willingly and bravely stepped up - to serve their country..

😥 How despicable, to disrespect a service member who gave the life they knew for their country to have the president say such a thing. Creepy!!!

This story will never reach the people who need to hear it the most. If it does they won't believe it.

As a veteran nothing about what Trump said here is surprising, shocking or new. Ever since since the first hand reports of his despicable comments towards the American WWII dead buried in Normandy, I’ve not only felt disgusted by him holding the highest office but also enraged every time he’s near our flag.

A wounded service person is a hero...an enemy to someone who isn't and who demands all the applause...

How a single member of the American military can ever vote for Trump or the Republicans again is amazing to me.

My Husband is a Proud-MARINE who served in Vietnam, he received 2 Purple Heart medals and is now paying the price with his body as he gets older, the injuries he endured, the water that he drank, the dreams that take him back there, Yet I have never heard him have one regret!!!! He is a very PROUD MARINE who I love very much. It makes me sick to my stomach to see the bumper sticker veterans for Trump and this proves I am right.

I served three years voluntarily in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam Era. I was not in war front, so I was not wounded. But I had the sad experience of seeing many wounded soldiers coming back and some in legal troubles due to mental illness. I went out of my way to help some of them. I still remember and honor them more than four decades later. A big hug to U.S. Army Captain Luis Avila and his wife Claudia.

The two faced response reveals a lot about Trump, all veterans should be honored and respected for their service to our country.

Lead by example, there is no example for such behavior. To all who served, thank you for your service. God bless you and your family and friends.
