The best version of "Cry me a River" with an all-star cast.

That heavyweight voice, revival style, killer band and back-up singing is hard not to love. Great song, too.

Joe Cocker always gave his all in all. No matter how lit he was, he gave epic unrivaled mind blowing 😳performances.
What's pretty trippy, decades after these types of legendary performances, Joe could still belt out them wails, screams etc...figure that in with decades of smoking 🚬 a lot of products that are smoked, was also a 2 pk a day smoker! 😱 up until the 1990's. Pretty amazing that unlike many rock n roll idols of the past, or any popular public singers, groups, tv or movie stars from that era, got older and their glory years long gone, end up broke and forgotten...Joe did very well! He had an amazing ranch in Crawford Colorado filled with priceless furnishings, along with a wonderful marriage, and countless fans. ❤️ Joe will never be forgotten!

Awesome. Joe Cocker made every song he sang his own. One of the greats--and as Roberto says, he was surrounded by greats on this one.

I met Joe he was wasted big time and so was I he gave me a ticket for his concert the next night. I went along and he gave a performance that blew my mind he was still off his head but never missed a beat. I think he never got the recognition be deserved he was one of a few that I would call a legend along with Leon Russell. Thanks for some great memories and great songs. RIP

Originally a soft pop ballad in 1955, Joe turned this into a great rocker 15 years later. This and his version of "The Letter" are just legends. Still have both 45s. Love his lady backing singers.

Back in the early-mid 1970's, I had this version on a 45 record. I younger guy I know was talking today about Cocker's version of " A Little Help From My Friends" and it reminded me of this song. Such a powerhouse performance!

"Mad Dogs and Englishmen" was the first album I ever bought. I was 12. Loved the Blues from then on, and no one can belt them out like Joe Cocker in his prime. This song may be the only one with the word "plebian" in the lyrics.

This album was released in the U.S. a few weeks before my 3rd birthday and "Cry Me a River" has been my go-to song to to cope with every feeling ever since. My grandmother was a huge blues fan, loved the Stones when they came out, and this album was played constantly at her house. I couldn't sing the words "Cry Me A River" correctly at such a young age but instead sang "Cry Me Bibber, " which I still do when I hear this song when no one is around. I'm so grateful for the gift this incredible performer gave me and the rest of the world. Peace and love to all of you in this trying time of COVID. We'll make it through this pandemic one powerful song at a time. <3

If the song doesn't cheer me up, his voice gets me. In the rare case both the song and his voice fail, his dancing always makes me smile.
