This has been one of my favorite RPGs since it came out on PSP. Im so happy to see it now on PS5.

The most unfortunate is that this game didn't get any sequel to it. I find the game play and story is quite interesting back in the days.

one of my favorite features in this game for burning aura, is that if you give someone burning aura and they are already standing it when their turn starts, that they can move with that aura, its been good for manipulation to use a weakling 4 spaces away to let jeanne or giles get it, and move straigt to the boss to deal excess damage.

It's a good game, worth playing. Weird part is the big role Gilles de Rais has in the game, considering that in the actual history it was found that he kidnapped and murdered multiple children's...

Im struggling getting past an early stage where not a single character can die. The last, strong guy always goes for one of my weaker guys and smashes him/her to the ground. Ugh. (the stage at 3:08 in your video lol). I'm gonna try some more ranged attacks next time.
It is however my favorite 'new' game. ;)

Such a great game i remember getting this as a kid. Grinding is life my friend especially in tactical games can’t wait for FFT remake or some of the older NIS stuff.

I made the MASSIVE mistake of not buying enough healing items for the final stage 😭😭😭!!!! I didnt know it was the final stage & that there was layers & levels to it and I was on the STRUGGLE BUS, especially since I didnt bother using rufus/la hire/rodger that much in the game so they never had any weapons & their levels were really low so they were just monster bait in the final 🤣😂

also the pronunciation is Jahn Dark which it does just translate to Joan of Arc

Loved this game on PSP, I had no idea it got a port! Gotta pick it up

This game set the stage for a great sequel. I really hope that this port leads to that because Gilles de Rais, after the war, becomes the first recorded and worst serial killers in history along with his friend... *cough* cough* Roger. Historians are actually split on Gilles trial. Some believe he pleaded guilty to save Roger... his "friend" whom was initially implicated of the act. Others say he was fully guilty. A sequel could follow this story and make Gilles the villain, and since they went with the "Someone died in Jeanne's place" which is also debated, we can have a return of Jeanne. Further, after Gilles desth, France adopted, for a time, a ritual involving whipping their children because thry beleived that gilles being burned and hung was not enough repentance for the evil he committed. It was also to scare children into good behavior so as not to end up like Gilles.

The affinities can become very strong later. I could be misremembering from the PSP, but I want to say if something has affinity and you have none, it has advantage over you rather than being neutral. So knowing what enemy affinities are on a map and changing yours head of time can really help out.

Grinding actually is very fun in this game when messing around with character builds
