As a self-respected, confident, independent woman of the 21st century, I WILL NOT tolerate adultery to any degree. If my husband cheated on me, ever, I’ll walk out of that marriage ASAP. I respect everyone’s different values and their own choices on marriage, but PLEASE do not tell the young girls today to accept what Hillary did, or rather what she gave away as a human being, as a “role model”. Hillary should have publicly supported Monica and put the rightful blame on her husband. If she truly wanted to consider herself a champion of women and a leader, she could have acknowledged that her husband exercised massive abuse of power and how deplorable it is for the president of the United States to allow an affair to happen with an intern. Monica was the victim even if the affair was consensual. He showered her with gifts and the manipulation must have been blinding. Hillary should have atleast said that Monica didn't deserve to be publicly shamed for her husband's actions. Monica was the single one, young, impressionable and bill was the adulterer. She could have understood that her husband took advantage of many young women, not just Monica, and came out to champion those women. To say that her husband should have known better and that those women deserved better. Since she defended him she allowed him to keep his power and gave him a free pass over all the women he took advantage of.
