I question the sequence of cleaning. The efflorescence.cleaner that I used contained an acid; hence the need to thoughly rinse with water so the concrete brick pavers are not damaged. I would suggest a degreaser instead. Pressure cleaning with Dawn soap and then a degreaser should remove the old sand and dirt, grease, and grime. Rinse thoroughly and then some.

The installers used road base as material and now I'm finding out it's the wrong material due to drainage. The g2 polymeric sand gets gummy with rain even after it was rock hard after installation. I was thinking of power washing the patio and putting new sand and using a sealer. You think the sealer will help keep the joints dry?

What does sealing do to pavers? And is it really necessary every 3-5 years?

What do you charge for this type of job per sqft? I can't imagine coming back 4+ times would be profitable.
