So many gold nuggets in this conversation, resinate wholely with Tim Urban's unique visual clarity. Have never come across his work, so thank you Vishen. Have just completed a good draft copy of a compilation of artworks and essay writings. Aligned with Tim's purpose, I am also interested in how to build awareness, and shine a light on some of the dark underlying forces driving and dividing humanity on a particular narrow trajectory. This involves zooming in and out for an overview of the big picture, witness what is and potentially could be.

Oh Vishen ... I have been a Mindvalley advocate for years ... Buddha/Badass is mega. I know of faith leaders, teachers, executives and start ups that have drawn upon its wisdom (yes extracts have been incorporated into sermons!). We are blessed to be able to look to Mindvalley as a collective forum for aspects of personal development and the impetus to shift our education system to new enlightenment. I am ordinarily the thinker and mediator but felt, on this occasion, compelled to comment on the the refreshing human fallibility that you Vishen display in this conversation. I so get your fundamental passion is to draw homo sapiens to a whole earth view so I am somewhat taken aback that you have individually called me personally misinformed. Yes I'm a citizen of the UK uncertain of a future outside of a broken European concept. Please be assured that I am fully aware in all aspects - political, social, financial, environmental etc - that informed which way I chose to vote. I would draw on the concept of spiral dynamics that can apply to organisations as well as societies in so much as we/they can and indeed do move down as well as up the spiral. This is well illustrated by quoting those infamous words from the film Love Actually uttered by David the PM to POTUS in essence "When a friend becomes a bully, they are no longer a friend, then it's time to take a stand". Sometimes the greater good is served outside of the collective. My sincere wish Vishen is that you reflect on this conversation in the light of what I have posed here and if in doing so I have supported an incredible individual (yes you!) on his journey then I am humbled. This concept of human colossus has been preached by Indian Yogis millenials ago. Lord Krishna's Vishwaroopam DEITY form if you see it represents the human colossus. I am amazed at the point that such a talent like Tim has received this knowledge as a gift or has taken these concepts by studying from past and is just telling the same concept by rephrasing the terms.

Very interesting talk, but Vishen really doesn't seem open to the point of this conversation, seeing what the other side does and actually being informed, talking about common consensus where it really doesn't exist and still riding the narrative that conservative voters are misinformed. There's never going to be any meaningful conversation or lifting up people out of that destructive part of politics if people that have a voice like him don't stop generalizing and start actually listening to the people that they are opposed to.

It comes down to the age old idea that we are all one, and when we see ourselves as different parts of the same "body" we can easily choose to understand each other and act lovingly, moment by moment (simple, but not always easy)

Vishen can you address the problem in capitalism? Because it is killing our planet and our people. Capitalists are profiting of other humans' cheap labor and we are currently seeing the richer getting richer and the poorer getting poorer. This is a systematic issue that needs to be addressed and terminated. If you wanna talk about division, we need to look at the economic class system that still prevails. Not everyone has access to become an entrepreneur or even slightly rich, and poor people are sold this idea and it's not helping them at all.

I think all Americans should stick together at all cost, no matter our beliefs or none of that. We all have one thing in common, and that is we all live in America.
