This 1964 Ford Galaxie is finished in pearlescent white over a black vinyl bench seat interior with chrome accents throughout the interior. This car was originally a 300hp 390ci V8 but the block has been replaced with a newer 390. The 390 is mated to the factory 4-speed manual transmission and shifts smoothly through the gears. This Galaxie has a Ford tri-power intake, Ford high-performance cast iron exhaust manifold, Ford Racing dual point (now with petronix) distributor, Magnaflow mufflers, Ford Trak Lok rear end with a ratio of 3:90, 15”x8” steel wheels with small 64’ caps, and Mickey Thompson 215 70×15 fronts with 275 60×15 rear tires. The seller has noted that he believes a racing cam has been installed due to the higher idle but does not know what kind of racing cam was installed. The chrome trim throughout the car is in excellent condition and the paint shows very well with only a few minor blemishes (shown in photos). This is an overall very clean Galaxie example guaranteed to get compliments at any car show. Clean California Title

I had this same car except it was gray with a red interior. Mine had had the crap run out of it and it burned as much oil as it did gas. The original shifter was worn out but a new Mr. Gasket shifter fixed that. I only paid $70 for the car when I got it so when I got a $550 trade-in on a new $2, 300 Fiat 128SL coupe in 1975, I jumped at it. I would rather have the Galaxie, now though!

As far as the hood pin holes, why don't you get some of the barrel key locks to put in there to secure it and finish the hole out? I noticed that your car has the kind of rare swing away steering column like mine. I hope that you or the previous owner has done away with the awful offset front lower control arm mount. This is a few hour job that will cost about $80 in parts and will make it drive SO MUCH BETTER. Mine is white with black interior as well. Looks and sounds great! I like the look of the mid level taillight lenses, I may get a set.

What's the point of owning a car like this and only putting 1300 miles on it in 9 years🤦... Cars are meant to be driven... This is a waste to park it and look at it.
