I may only be 20 years old, but I don't need to live in the 60s to understand that this car, and a lot of other cars from this time, are WAY overbuilt.

427 Foot pounds of torque? They don't sell cars with engines like that anymore, nor capable of 330 HP...

And the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, air filter case, all of it is metal. 'Cuz real men don't need plastic.

And the design! The taillights are like little jet thruster thingies, the chrome trims along the sides of the car that widen with the shape... Such workmanship.

I'm so lucky to have one of these in our garage. Classic Fords are the best!

I had one. Raven black with salmon interior. Beautiful car and I loved it.

I had one. It was my first car. Powder blue with dual thrush mufflers. Great car.

Keep the update, glad you didn't crush it. I saw a boneyard on here, "Cowboys something I don't remember, mexican place out west and they crushed a light blue 66 Custom with no rust and very good metal, really dumb. They could of took the fender and doors off in 20 minutes at least. Good frame too

Had a Galaxie 352 with a rusty muffler. Anyone asked I told them it was a 427 and they believed me.
