"Quiet Quitting" is currently on the rise. What is quiet quitting and why are so many of us doing it?
Quiet quitting is nothing new and its called doing your job doing a bare minimum that corporate executives find stupid, Anti-American and labelling employees as losers. But from China to the United States, the trend is supported equally and it's time to call things by their names.

Thank you guys for watching, like and sub if you enjoyed, ❤ Manshuk

This is a practice of employees deciding not to go above and beyond their basic responsibilities, such as declining to respond to emails during evenings and weekends or ignoring extra assignments, is gaining traction, particularly among Generation Z.

Unfortunately, a lot of permanent full-time workers or even part-time employees feel hopeless at work today, because they need to pay the bills and keep to the jobs they hate;

So, who is really driving this trend forward? Is it tik-tokers?

Not really. However, the trend has became popular on Tik-Tok, which is supposedly started in July 2022 by Zaid Khan - a 24-year-old engineer from New York.

The Great Resignation dominated the economic news cycle in the past year. Now, during the second half of 2022, the silent quitting trend is gaining traction at a time when the U.S. productivity rate is a cause for concern. Second-quarter data on U.S. worker productivity showed the largest yearly decline.

So why is this trend growing? Watch the video above to understand if silent resignations are detrimental to the U.S. economy and how they fit into the Great Resignation story.

Corporations say that people who quit quietly are just lazy people who don't want to work at the office, or don't want to grow professionally, or don't want to learn new skills needed for their work.

But corporate executives still don't get it, people are not lazy or are not uninterested in their own development; they just don't agree with some corporate values anymore and don't accept what the corporate job has to offer them in exchange.

Quiet quitting is also a major issue to solve after the Great Resignation wave that has started during the pandemic. But, as the world is gradually coming back to the normal life, employees are still resistant to accept the fact that they are just a cog in the corporate machine and deserve more than a paycheque and a pure business life.

Going to the bathroom according to a boss is "stealing time", yet expecting us to go "above and beyond" without a pay raise isn't stealing labor.

Haha, nice coverage. I am in software engineering, quiet quitting was was there even years before. No wonder it's now mainstream after so many months. Great video again! 👍

Excellent content as always. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and understanding clearly and concisely.
Unfortunately there are still many employers who micromanage and take workers efforts for granted, then can’t figure out why so many of their workers quit or underperform.
Personally I’m fine with working longer hours, even on a regular basis provided that I feel my work i appreciated, but micromanage me and I’ll be out that door and down the road as soon as that clock strikes 5 😅
When are some employers going to finally realise that some recognition and a little respect is often all it takes to keep works motivated and therefore doing a better job
