Very cool. This reminds me of that one game, no idea what it was called, but the fishing one with moving fish that open and close their mouths mechanically where you can catch them by dangling a fishing pole. Don't remember if it was magnetic or not.
I'm pretty sure you could recreate it using similar mechanisms to this if you wanted.
Might make for a good video and short.
Just a thought.

I’m not sure if you heard of electroplating but you could do a copper or Nickel plating and this would be a guaranteed product.
