Nobody from the band was visiting him in jail of japan, he was not amused.

Excellent information, I consider myself the number 1 Paul McCartney fan in my city and I had never seen anywhere that Wings didn't have a dissolution as such!

This is fairly incorrect. He decided to stop touring after Lennon passed away and when he started to record the album Denny Laine was still there, he even appeared in songs that were used in Pipes of Peace. By deciding to stop touring, Denny Laine quit the band and that's why Wings never actually disbanded. But the fact is that during the June/July rehearsals for the album all Wings members were there. It wasn't until recording began with George Martin, that he told the other Wings that they wouldn't be needed for the album. But Denny definitely recorded it without McCartney ever saying anything. It wasn't until the end of recording it, that he asked Paul about the "next tour" that McCartney expressed his desire to stop touring. But Denny could have technically stayed recording and Wings could have been around for a while more.

I wish Paul (or Elvis, or Ringo, or Tom Jones) would've joined and revived the defunct band that had just lost their front man and needed a new singer/songwriter and had no bass player, THE DOORS.

I think there are some missing elements to this account. Surely, Paul’s Japan debacle contributed more than anything else. The band members were slated to make a truckload of money from the Japan tour. Instead, they had to head back home. Don’t think it was that Paul thought the band wasn’t doing well. I think it fizzled when Japan tour didn’t happen.

Yea, what did happen with Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson?

The break-up of Wings also had something to do with Denny Laine's vision for the future, which had taken a turn after his wife Jojo was dissed by Linda. On Wings' final tour, Paul and Linda intentionally failed to book hotel rooms for Denny's wife. That didn't sit well with Denny. And, regardless of how talented Paul was, it would have been foolish to continue Wings without Denny.

rewriting history again
never ever McCartney said the Wings wasn't performing 'properly' in 1979. That line up was in fact a great one.

great video, but I'd like to ask, what's your opinion on Tug of War? and also, since I believe many of the songs were recorded in the same sessions, your opinion on Pipes of Peace?

Paul should have never left wings. It was more successful with wings than as a solo artist

Paul McCartney was brilliant as a Beatle, but a boring performer without them.

For decades Paul has given A-hole vibes despite his talents.

I think John's death sealed the fate of Wings
( along with the prison stint )

Ummm… that’s not what happened at all. There is no truth in your post. If you did an ounce of research you would not have wrote this post. Iff to has been well documented so you won’t have a difficult time finding out the facts.

The dispute that Paul had with Michael Jackson which he took public showed the dark demanding controlling side of Paul. The beatles sold the copyrights to a lot of their music some decades earlier. Somewhere along the way Michael Jackson bought them on the open marked. Paul asked Michael to turn them over to Paul and Michael refused. He didn't owe them to Paul, but Paul not only thought he did, he complained publicly to the media about it. He was a total jerk about it. My guess was that they sold the copyrights way back when they thought the music would never be worth a lot. It was a poor business descision and I'm sure Paul regretted it.
But that was never Michael's fault.
That demonstrated a serious character flaw in Paul to me.

I never understood why Paul sold the rights to Beatles songs to MJ. The guy was already worth so much money but I guess he didn’t want to preserve his legacy. I’m happy he was able to get the rights back.

I would never take anything Paul says about his relationship with the bands seriously. He was a bully that liked to also play the victim of sitations. Listening to him speak I get the impression he was a sociopath, definitely narcissistic.
