I was featured a second time on German television!!! And this time not just within NRW, but the whole of Germany! Nationwide!

I wanted to share my very proud achievement with my incredible community - YOU GUYS - over here on YouTube and give you a little bit of behind-the-scenes gossip along with it. 🙃

Thank you ALL so much for your support and motivation to keep going and keep building this little empire of mine. It means the world to me. ♥️

ABOUT ME

Hey there, I’m Jenna! A Canadian who has been living in Germany since 2014. 🇩🇪

Like many, I had a difficult time relocating - all the paperwork, making sure I wasn’t getting scammed, finding a flat, a phone plan, a job, etc. So, I took it slowly, documented all my learnings along the way, and partnered up with expats in every field so that I could help others avoid making the same mistakes I did. Let’s look at it as… PAVING THE WAY FOR NEW EXPATS TO SAVE TIME & MONEY!

... and now I’m bringing it all to YOUTUBE! ♥️

Dear Jenna, please don't worry so much about your German and if it's good enough (spoiler: your German is very good!). This is Europe - we're used to so many different languages around us in our daily lives or when we're on holidays abroad. Europeans are appreciating any efforts to learn their languages. It doesn't has to be perfect - nobody is expecting that 💗😘 People like you are an enrichment to our society and culture

Good morning Jenna,
You are about to become one of our interesting VIP that people need to know. Someone so lovely and positive shouldn't be hide on local TV and i guess the guys from the channel knew that and decided to bring you nationwide, especially to introduce you to the older people in Germany.
And your German is a lot better than you believe and after a while, when you stop thinking to much about and the confidence starts it's getting better and better.
And TV channel introduced us to your husband and that was pretty cool 😊

Yeah when I was working in Mexico, like the third year I was down there, a news journalist wanted to interview me. Luckily my friend’s sister was behind him and shaking her head yes or no when he was asking me questions! Lol . * Hablo EL Español igual que Inglés ahora, so it just takes time 👍

Marc Schulte also hosts the Lokalzeit from the nearby city of Duisburg. WDR3 can be received in most German federal states by cable-TV, sattelite, or on the internet. Hallo Jenna,
Thomas

Language is for communication. It is an important tool for creating identity, building a community / unity.
The secret and beauty in anyone's language lies in its connection with the nature of life in a certain region of the world. Language comes from the need to connect with others / to share experiences with others. And that's helpful.
An individual has a better chance to survive and thrive in a group / tribe / community. And since experiences relate to certain (geographical / climatic / etc.) conditions. ...to learn a language doesn't just mean learning a different vocabulary but to adept to a different culture, a different way to perceive and relate to life as it appears.
Life appears different in different regions ... leading to different cultures.
Cultures, traditions, religions exist to support, to serve and unfold life under certain conditions in a certain time. Life in a green valley or a desert or an iceberg ...it will develop different ways to overcome challenges ... to express contentment ... to adopt to changes ... finally to create coherence.
Learning a language is more than becoming able to say "Hello", "Olà" or "Namaste" ... or to buy something.
In order to really learn a foreign language one has to dive into the culture of a different world. Culture means the means to cultivate: Tools to educate, to strengthen and uplift, to refine, to develop habits, etc. in order to make more use of the possibilities / the hidden potential of life. (Life wants to evolve. Everywhere. All the time. And for evolution a good access to the potential of life is needed.)
///
So: What life is telling to all its entities?
Go to a place where you feel connected! (In ideal / good times that's where a tree has grown up as a tree and where it has placed its progeny / seeds.)
Home should be more than a place for mere survival. Home is where you can feel being alive, a place where you have the chance to grow, to unfold your potential, to be the creature / person you have / want to be.
(Sorry, if this sounds somehow far off any realities. I studied philosophy and ethnology ... where realities are creations / assumptions / agreements of conscious minds. And where the past is not the yesterday. The past is happening now ...)

Hi Jenna, it was very successful. I would be interested to know whether your website has been clicked more often since the interview was broadcast?
