In part 3, I continue to set up access to the router from the CLI. Now that the management interfaces have been configured with passwords enhance security by encrypting the interfaces with type 7 or md5 encryption. I show how type 7 encryption can be easily cracked using easy to find web cracking tools and how md5 is preferable.

you don't however you can use service password-encryption command to encrypt the VTY and the console lines password.

how do we put an enable secret password on the vty sessions?
