Yes, it is so important to be aware of this maddening double standard. Don’t waste your time trying to make them see because believe me, they do see. And they enjoy watching you suffer the unfairness. Save your breath and stop trying to get them to see.

Yes especially when he says u talk about ur past you live in the past but he can bring up the past all the time the past to him is a day ago I can't even bring it up he will say that's the past but it was yesterday I don't get it he definitely checks all the boxes

I wish I knew that back then. That was the first red flag. He moved him in my own condo and set up a bunch a little rules about the things he didn’t like I did. I set a couple like not putting things not dishwasher safe things in the dishwasher, not using a scrub pad to wash the Brita and use the dish towel, not the hand towel to dry dishes and did I get it. OMG! Did he listen and did what I asked? Of course not and he kept on doing those things over and over. Whenever I would comment on the “infraction”, he would get so upset and I would end up apologize.

Very true! I was asking him something & he didn't like it and hung up on me. I wasn't yelling, I was merely asking him. I texted back to please call me I did nothing wrong and it was rude & disrespectful to hang up on me. So I'm trying to defend myself for something I did no wrong. He ended the relationship. A narcissist & manipulator!! He did me a favor.

I just claimed to use my time as he did his. But because he has two little people with him, then my time was for us to use to his please and need because he is a parent and I'm not. I just started doing me and he thought I was trying to find someone else. No, I was just trying to do me and be seen by HIM. Ball rolled down quickly after I claimed my right to be considered at the same level. 🤷🏻‍♀️
