Hmm, first time seeing such romantisizing of Chinese money habits. I just grew up learning to save/hoard cash, and it's about getting money from others while not losing yours (like my dad redo the kitchen counter badly instead of hire a professional, but if he's a carpenter, he'd try to charge as much as possible) . And you can become rich by being a cheapskate.
