1:17 The diagram on the left actually shows the folded nature of the inner walls of the small intestine. I've incorrectly labeled these folds as 'villi' on the diagram. In reality, villi are microscopic projects ON the folds of the inner intestine walls. These details aren't exactly too important for your course, but if you google "*villi small intestine*" you will see what I mean

You confuse villus (singular) with villi (plural). Your diagram and description of the location of villi is incorrect. The lining of the ileum is folded, and the villi are microscopic protrusions from the folds. Your diagram shows the folds of the inner lining of the small intestine, not the villi.
