In this video I tell you the difference between "Pure math" and "Applied math". Many people believe that "Pure math" is what you must know in order to be good at mathematics. But that's not necessarily true.

You are wrong in saying, that pure math is up to interpretation. It is not. There really is only one way to do it, as long as you believe in ZFC.
