I miss being a kid in the 90s. This clip reminds me of those Sundays when dad would be watching cricket at home while I'm doing my homework or playing cricket at the park, delicious food being cooked at home, relatives are visiting and all. Even the Sun used to shine differently then 🥺

As a Sri Lanlan, I loved to watch his batting, somewhat closer to LARA. Highly talented batter!!!

Small multination tournaments were a treat to watch in those days... This was Centenary cup 1994 in NZ.... now we have only boring bilateral series all the time... Even the C&U triangular series in Aus has also stopped

Kambli is a forgotten hero. Sad to see his career end badly.

Players of these generation, SRT, Kambli, Azhar, Sidhu, VVS Laxman etc. were toying with Warne and may be the reason as Warne has worst Records against India in Tests.

4:17 When Sidhu started running, the umpire decided that if it’s a direct hit he’s out. Even though the stumps were off after Sidhu crossed them, he gave him out because he had already decided it.

4:22 That's not out by a big margin 😀. As usual those days umpires are waiting to raise fingers when Aussie, England play with coun tries like India, Pakistan Sri Lanka

The commentator of this match (Newzealand) was Grant Nisbett. 1985 world series trophy wherein all the top 8 teams partcipated. Channel 9 telecasted from the 1 to the final.
Marvellous days were those.

Kambli was India's Lara. His high bat lift was reminiscent of Lara's.

Vinod kambli and Azhar best batting side, and good performance.

Didn't know Kambli was such a classy batsman. Why no body ever talks about him?

Kambli and Tendulkar would've been India's best batting duo. It was a natural batting pair as both grew up together, really close mates and both are Marathas. Kambli wasted his chances. Sachin took his.
Cricket's most saddest episodes.
I hope Kambli is well wherever he is.

80s kids only know the value of azhar ... Wrist magician without helmet, collar style and down the track to hit the ball ... Best fielder in all time history 🧡

Yes kambli was and is talented cricketer but when i see any clip of sidhu batting its charismatic. Talented but underrated of his time. Great era of batting then and now. Great Team India. 🥰🥰
