After owning an EV, these are my thoughts

1. When buying an EV, buying an EV with 800v charging architecture is the way to go. My observation is that alot potential EV buyers skipped this part. 800v allows you to take in DC fast charge way faster so you can benefit from 180kwh / 350kwh chargers if you need to juice up to 80% in less than 15mins.

2. To complete the EV experience, unfortunately a home charger is a must since our current infrastructure is still developing. At least this will settle your range anxiety.

3. Too many stupid apps.

The Ora Good Cat is so cute! I wish we had them in the U.S.! We also struggle because we don't have very good charging infrastructure here yet. Especially in Colorado. 😢

I own a BYD ATTO 3 in SG. Usually I charge in office using DC. My office has 4x DC. Or I charge at a Shell petrol station. Shell provides only one DC charger, but free parking.

I also charge while doing groceries or having lunch/dinner. No regrets switching from ICE (MG HS) to EV car. :) 😊

Use AC charging only at home, or doing long-time activity like movie, reunion gathering, etc.

Paradigm mall chargers is too slow. Pro tip, avoid 3.7kW charger, if you are driving an Ora Good Cat or BYD Atto 3, avoid 11kW chargers as well as they are 3 phase chargers and the 2 cars only supports single phase so you will only get 3.7kW out of 11kW.

Suggest to charge at ABB Malaysia PJ free charging, or at Hyundai Ara Damansara. Only 40cents per kWh

Doesn’t seem like it’s a viable option in Malaysia just yet. The infrastructure around EV charging is just too scarce
