I wish Apple was as transparent as Dyson when it comes to internal projects. Especially the ones that never make it to market. It’s awesome to see a company take strides in innovation when they have the sufficient funds.

Dyson is amazing brand. They don’t have too many ads, they just sometimes show us bits of their design and how they work and test. And you know that they are the best. Looking on every detail, test and prototype for many hours and after time you get best product. Great strategy

I love the aircraft hangar building. All that space, light and cleanliness. Looks a great environment to design and create.

It looks great, yes it does look a lot like the "standard" electric car look but obviously the guys have put a lot of hours designing a very intuitive car. DO IT!!!!

I talked about Dyson getting into the automotive industry back in 2016 when I learned how a given Dyson product can contain dozens if not hundreds of patents most of which is dedicated to vacuum technology…

The first thing I thought about was improved airflow control systems in specifically electric cars using vacuum technology

I even went so far as to predict a collaboration with Apple/Microsoft

An Apple/Microsoft + Dyson EV would shake things up

Truly beautiful, functional and futuristic. This needs to be brought into production. Surely Dyson can find a legacy or emerging manufacturer to help bring this to life?

Mr. Dyson, dropping that project and loosing 500 milion could be avoide had you rethink the goals. Targets were too ambitious. Wevdo not need 7 passanger SUV. Smaller crossover with reasonable range is fine. You have brand name well known and established and this would help you with sales!!!! Your book on INVENTIONS is amazing. Thanks

I think that its important for designers to realize that part of being a good designer is being able to design in a way that is affordable to make and sell. i think some people just want to make the best version of the design they can possibly think of with no consideration for cost or how it would be made, or what value it brings to buyers. its just simply not a good design if it cant be made and sold in a way that benefits the maker and consumer. There is a way to make an electric car that is affordable for the buyer and profitable for the maker but you have to dig deeper designers! come on! we decided what is possible!
