I'm so excited for Bayonetta 3.

The first two games are absolute masterpieces, and this game is looking to be just as good. I can't wait to get my hands on it, especially since the tail end of 2022 is looking a little dry on other quality games.

Fun fact: although Ken said that this type of game expects you to have played the other 2 games beforehand, that is actually not the case! Hideki Kamiya made sure in the previous Bayonetta games’s story to not need to have played the other to understand, and he tweeted it that this game’s story is no different (but he did say he wanted to make the world feel more impactful so that the experience of Bayo 3 is more enjoyable for those who played the previous). You can play Bayonetta 2 first and then play the first game and understand the story with the same outcome if you played the first game then the second. If you guys are interested in playing Bayo 3, you can go right ahead and play without playing the others. But if you do want the more impactful experience as Kamiya stated, I totally recommend to at least react to the cutscenes the first 2 games have to offer, the sexiness and craziness of the Bayonetta story is to die for!!!

Was looking forward to you looking at this. I feel like it was a necessary primer considering the prior trailers you watched didn't really sit down and explain the traditional mechanics, like Witch Time et al.

The Easy Mode item seems to be a new thing, though I could be wrong. In older games of Devil May Cry's ancestry, there used to be a difficulty level called "Easy Automatic", which dialed the game's difficulty back and had the "one button only" scheme, but it looks like they separated it here so Easy/Casual doesn't necessarily have to be right up patronizing by also locking in the Automatic mode as well.

I've been anticipating this game for years but it's such a graphical downgrade from 2 that I'm concerned

They did change a lot of the gameplay. Sure the combos and weapons are a staple but changing into demon forms and summoning outside of final moves and Umbran Climaxes is something new entirely. Glad to see they’re keeping things fresh. Also it looks like Viola will be playable for the main story! While it’s not entirely new the other games only had Jeanne and Loki playable in chase sequences. The only time we ever get to play other characters entirely is in non canon replays or two player modes so this is an exciting change.

as you have finished dmc 4 I really really recommend you to watch dante(after dmc 4) vs bayonetta(after 2) death battle where they analyze them and determine the winner
