Around @6.45 in the video you explain how to add a domain within Google Search Console. There are various verification methods (you choose to do it via the HTML tag) but in my case there is only the option to do it via TXT/CNAME records. Is this something that has changed over the last year, or am I doing something wrong?

when I go to that xml link provided by Wordpress, It takes me to blog post page of my website
