These videos are just to demonstrate how annoying and sometimes dangerous it is when people flagrantly disregard common surfing etiquette and ruin other people's waves. Comment below on your bad experiences!

I get the whole etiquette thing and agree with it 100%.
With that said, with as crowded as this area is, there’s no way you should be getting upset about anything. Etiquette is impossible with that many people there. If you’re going to get butt-hurt over spilled milk in this situation, go find a less crowded spot. Otherwise, enjoy yourself with what you have and the people around you.
If it isn’t making you money, it isn’t worth getting pissed off over.

Problem might just be there are more surfers than waves.
From a beginners perspective, I try not to drop in on other people. Then the more skilled just paddle back out, position on the inside and get the next one again. More respect required from everyone

This is the reason I quit the Snapper Snakepit about 10 years ago. Got 3 waves in 3 hours, and copped a blatant drop-in on 2 of them. The top-end surfers have absolutely no respect for average Joes.

I grew up in Malibu in the 80s. Wish I had a buck for every kook I ran over. People! Paddle outside the drive line.

So many of these instances were unintentional and just due to the insane number of people out there.

I flew all the way to Uluwatu and had the same experience. Absolutely no etiquette. Too many people and this is what happens.

It's just a math problem, or is it arithmetic. The number of waves divided by the number of surfers! This aquatic activity is really catching on in that neighborhood!

Beaches with great surf usually have a local crew with an established pecking order/hierarchy... with crazy crowds and various levels of skill, enforcement of protocols (and hierarchy) it gets out of hand often. If you count the number of surfers and ridable waves there's often not enough waves to go around. Road-rage can ensue.

Don't care how good the waves are, surfing with crowds like this sucks and almost isn't worth it. Watching perfect waves go past you all day and get ruined because of stupid people just to finally catch one of your own only to have someone drop in on you hurts more than sitting on the beach or surfing shitty waves alone.

A few guys paddle for it, and everyone pulls back when the guy made it.
Same later, there's not even a solid drop-in on this video? The dudes just foamball pumps it after the section in front of him collapsed instead of letting other surfers in a better position having some fun on the inside. I bail out there and paddle back up instead of pumping 40meters to maybe get one more turn in.
Girl has a poo stance and no control at all, dude just places his turn wrong.

Honestly, I see way worse every damn day, these guys even go out when the deeper positioned surfer makes it through.
Most of these scenes are caused by a mellow waves with closing sections.

0:39 -- This girl's all over IG purposely running people over... same as in here, trying to be a jerk. They're trying to paddle up and over, clearly, not dropping in... and she still goes for them to gash them with her fins. She's beyond annoying.

When I've surfed in tourist central, Waikiki, it's like this, with people popping out of the water in front of you... you just turn around them. It's really not that hard. If you want to tell them about it later, great, but don't gash them with your fins.
