For anyone that doesnt understand why this is useful: Some laptops have weak hinges as he pointed on in the end and they will break easily if you put pressure on only one side. I had a 1000$ laptop with 360 and touch screen and one of the hinges broke (which also broke my screen) and the repair would cost around 600$. I had the laptop for 1 year and was very careful with it, never dropped it.

I learned the hard way on the proper way to lift a laptop lid. I lift the entire laptop from the bottom. I open it as depicted in the video. I close it 1 fingered from the middle and not too much pressure either opening it or closing it.

Does the method work for up HP envy 360? What would you recommend? I was told by store associates it can last me 8 years max and I’m afraid to turn it into tablet mode I’ve heard to hinges break. Any recommendations or videos you can post about how to take care of the HP envy 360? And have it last a long time

My laptop broke out of the hinges busting open because I opened from the top left side or unevenly in the middle, and with so much force to swiftly open the laptop. It got the better of me because the laptop then broke and I had to get it repaired for a large sum of money in my currency. The technician told me to always open from the center, never the sides, and for some reason even to hold the bottom of the laptop with your hand even if that wasn't displayed in this vid.
Ever since that incident, I've been overly paranoid about opening my laptop every time just so I don't have to go through that process again. Or risk the technician stealing my data.

I had a glitches issue on my screen, been tried tutorial on how to resolve and nothing happend. I went to repair shop and said that my screen is broken, I think this is the reason why my laptop screen glitches due to opening up from the side not from the center, lesson learned now i have new lcd

My mom does not understand this. She uses my laptop and her hand is too fast and rough on my laptop. She opens its lid fastly and lifts up her hand immediately, leaving the lid/screen vibrating.
