To get a perfectly neat circle when you're done binding off your round project, you'll need to do a little trick at the end. Here's how to neaten the last stitch to get a perfect edge every time.

Step by Step Instructions:
1. Bind off all sts. 1 st rem on R needle.
2. Pull the needle so the loop gets bigger -- about 8″ long.
3. Cut yarn at the top of the loop.
4. Pull the ball of yarn so the working yarn comes out of the stitch.
5. Thread the tail onto a tapestry needle.
6. Find the 1st bound-off stitch.
7. Go in under the 2 loops of the stitch and pull the yarn through.
8. Find the center of the last bound-off stitch.
9. Poke the needle through and to the back. Pull yarn to tension.
10. Weave in tail on the WS.
11. There's a "fake" stitch joining the first and last stitches. Invisible!

Reasons I love your videos: You hold the work as close to the camera as possible (very important as my 50 yr old eyes begin aging!), your background is always in an extreme contrast to the sample which greatly helps visibility, you get to the point and don’t get sidetracked with chatter, instructions are simply stated and not overly explained to the point of redundancy and confusion. Thanks for your efforts to help us learn.

As always, this is a tremendously helpful video. You are my number one source and i never need a second. I love your voice, your close-ups, your detail and the fact that you don't show everything in slow motion and 92 times - ha. Oh, and no annoying music either. Will never know why others think it adds to their videos! Once again, thank you for an amazing, perfectly delivered lesson.

I've been doing something similar but no where near as simply. I used this this morning & it worked a treat, much clearer demonstration than others I have seen and so simple, thanks.

Perfect! Exactly what I need right now. I just finished binding off on a cowl, my first knitting project with circular needles and the first for over 30 years. I am so grateful for the help that is available to me from someone like you. Thanks for sharing. This is shown and explained so simply. Thank you.

Thank you so very much. I'm almost finished knitting a cowl, & it never dawned on me that I would have to do something like this. (So far, the only circular knitting I've done has been hats.) I'm glad I watched this. :)
