In my opinion, I prefer the turtles in their more fantastical/grounded stories. They fight alien robots, mutated monsters, and a ninja named after an office utensil, along with his army. But they still have the Ninjutsu aspect and Teenage aspect of growing up. There is a Reason why the Last Ronin is ICONIC.

Fair point but the turtles having busted superpowers are fire when done right. The art style and fight choreography of rise was unlike any TMNT show before it, one of the reasons why I loved it so much. I’m excited for this crossover, hopefully they do it right.

TMNT 2003 had an arc where they got in touch with their inner dragons and got magic weapons and it was one of the best arcs of the series.

I personally liked Rise of The TMNT because of the powers, it gave us something new to the table and the fight scenes where choreographed very well so now the turtle possibly doing jutsu sounds cool. I'm hoping that Naruto yells "COWABUNGA!!" with the turtles and Ichiraku makes a pizza ramen for Naruto and the turtles at the end.

Personally Rise goes hard with or without the mystical powers, the animation is just so good during the action sequences. Check out the fish and ladders scene if you want proof of that.

Rise grew on me, yeah the turtles can bust up buildings but the enemies are out here cutting up city blocks. Plus flying bark studios alway produces fire animation
