Epic WWII Halftrack Line-up at Militracks 2019

So many gorgeous heavy movers in one place T____T just listen to those engines!

For those interested, the relatively obscure vehicle #4 with the distictive superstructure (seen at seen at 1:16) is a civilian Sd.Kfz 11, one of 2 built for the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service before the war. The vehicles were used to carry a rocket apparatus that was used for shooting a line to stranded ships so people could be rescued. You can make out the hanseatic cross on the superstructure, the lettering on the driver's door reads "Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Rettung Schiffbrüchiger" - German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked Persons". Like the British RNLI, the DGzRS is funded by donations and legacies and many lifeboat crews are unpaid volunteers.

Although a well known half track....I think “The Dirty Dozen” did much to make it a legend in the public mind. From little to huge...they were considered the ultimate in off road support for the armor....and all its needed support!

after watching Sofi channel, like how she talks about tanks and equipment way better than anyone else who knows, true many scholars know way more, but her enthusiasm is what makes me want to learn, she has a appeal, that others do not, wish could go overseas again, would love see that whole show, She really is a true tanker.

Nice to see all of these heavy prime movers that have been restored. There's one, I see, that's made into an RV, perfect for Militracks tailgating with a grill and a small refrigerator inside!

There exists a picture of a FAMO bumping into a SdKfz 251 and consequently flattening its (SdKfz 251) entire front suspension. So carefully manouvering with these beasts is a must.
