Very nice work. Yeah, my girlfriend is replacing the hardwood floors in her house from a golden oak three-quarter inch glue down to a distressed three-quarter inch glue down and anyone that would put down laminate over hardwood is a moron I want to save money. Yeah laminate will never hold up doesn’t matter how well engineered it is. Laminate is junk, whether you buy it for a rental or for your own home waste of money, solid wood flooring is the best ! 👍😁😁👍👍👍

Plank flooring may have been original flooring. Plywood was officially invented in 1865. 1928 the standard 4 x 8 standard sheets became available. 1950s the sub floor of choice was plywood.

😂 It's only weird to you that there is no subfloor. But older people know that houses from this era had no subfloor because the wood floor WAS the floor. Subfloors are a relatively recent thing... they came along after people decided to put in decorative floors like tiles and laminates. My house was built in 1926, and it has no subfloor, nor does any old house in my neighborhood.
