Live: Putin attends Russia's annual WWII victory parade

President Vladimir Putin attends Russia's annual World War Two victory parade, a patriotic display of the country's military power amid the Ukraine conflict.

Victory Day (9 May) celebrates Russia's victory in World War Two, but rehearsals have seen chilling parallels from the Ukraine invasion, including MiG-29 fighters in the formation of a pro-Russian 'Z' symbol flying over Moscow.

Signs of support for the military have grown across the country since Feb. 24, with the letter “Z” appearing on billboards and signs in the streets and subways.

Outside global media hype and propaganda it is worth sharing some thoughts with the Russian people who remember the sacrifice given by the millions of men woman and children during WW2. The downfall of Hitlers war machine would never have been completed without the bravery and determination of this proud nation and its history should be proudly supported by a world who benefits from its efforts. I hope that the current crisis in Ukraine is abated soon and that some level of normality returns to this crazy world.

If the EU, NATO, and Ukrainian government had not connived that the Russian ethnic people in eastern Ukraine persecuted by the Assyrian camp, everything would not have developed to where they are today. I enjoy these parades very much and have viewed these videos many times ever since they were available on Youtube. Over the years I have realized that some of the video productions vary considerably. This years videos that are available on You tube so far are of very poor quality. There is not one that is in true High Definition. Frequently out of focus. Jittery camera. Overly quick shots of parade action. The very best videos of all times was made of the parade in 2016. Check them out as they are still available on Youtube.
