I always use Ponds cold cream, organic rose water, and Nivea.
If it’s good enough for my Grannies gorgeous wrinkle free skin, it’s good enough for me.

Ponds has been a staple moisturizer and makeup remover for over 30 years!
I had acne and went to a department store to buy pricey skin care, the sales rep was honest and told me to use Ponds. I bought a cleanser to just to treat myself. I hope that salesperson is thriving somewhere for the advice he gave me back then regarding designer v. drug store brands.

It’s very true, you pay for the packaging and designer name, when I worked as a beauty consultant, I used to test all of them, high end to Maybelline, L’Oréal etc, very surprised to find the only difference was the price tag, and I’m glad Bethenny is opening peoples eyes!

But I did indulge back in 1982 at the Channel counter at Bloomingdale's in the Willow Grove Park Mall in buying a make-up brush. I still have it and with the exception of most of the gold lettering having washed off it is like new. BtW I buy a facial sunscreen lotion, Walmart brand, that works great. Thanks for all you do!❤

You’re the best, B! I recently thought of buying high end and then seeing if I can refill it with drugstore so I have the nice packaging but will save money over time just repurchasing the drug store equivalent. Or maybe buying some nice containers on Amazon and putting my beauty products in that. These days us regular folks have to find a way to minimize expenses, but I really do LOVE the luxury “experience.”

Excellent point. So often, we either waste money on what we're told is the best, or we can't possibly afford it and feel like we're making do with something inferior. Understanding that it's about the name and the package makes it an easy decision for me. Cruelty free drugstore for the win! And Milani, Elf, even the Dollar Store, are absolutely killing it lately. 💜

Very true. And the Nivea cream (Germany one) has EXACT ingredients as Crème De La Mer, I use it. I also get The Ordinary company Marine drops to add to Nivea cream on face. Then its pretty much 💯 same as La Mer!! X Rachel x ❤️
