Back in the early 70 and 80s 147 street appeared to travel west of oak park av. Its now all grown over. Winter would be a good time to go west thru the thick brush. Avoid ticks. I see you too did your research. One of my class mates from high school posted goesel was her great grandfather. Per the internet he bought the land on the assumption the town would grow due to the fact midlothian turnpyk and justemere rd and oak park av was the pony express route. The rock island east of the town going into tinley park at 175 and oak park av was the cause of closing goeselville per the internet.

My classmate that posted her great grandfather was goesel, said the town was on the west side of oak park av.per one of the post. If you follow the old road going into bachelor grove on 143 st, it exits at ridgeland av and travels west thru the woods to harlem av. There was an old trail that led to 167 and wolf at an old town called alpine valley that was shut down aftet ww2. A developer built homes at the site in the 90s and called it alpine valley .

Are you on the east side of oak park av behind the old removed service station. The town was on the west side of oak park av. The barn is the last standing building from the town. I am a resident since 1962 at age 2. We grew up playing in those fields west of galic park on 147. At the tinley park historical society there is a model of the town built by a goesel family member per an internet posting. I remember the old gas station across from gibins garden.
